January Round-Up

Welcome back Be The Changers! We are so excited for another year of green activities in our wonderful society. This round-up will feature some bonus content from the final bits that we got up to last year. We've already hit the ground running and have hosted some brilliant events. So stay tuned for new events by following our Instagram, linked here.

December

2nd - Baz's Big Day Out: Bath Edition

Our brilliant president Becky took Baz out for an exciting day in Bath. They sang carols, visited the Abbey, and wandered the streets in the festive season!

3rd - Sustainable Sundays: Gift Giving

For our final Sustainable Sundays of 2023, we discussed how to approach gift-giving in the festive season. Take a look at the final post here!

5th - Gingerbread House Making with UniBoob

We had so much fun collaborating with UniBoob on a Gingerbread House Making workshop. We had some absolute masterpieces created in this session, plus were all offered some brilliant resources by UniBoob to help raise awareness for breast cancer and CoppaFeel!

January

18th - The Big Society Hello!

Becky and Emily took to Reed Hall for a great evening celebrating Exeter societies! And of course, we couldn't forget a very special guest. We think Baz enjoy being in front of the camera, don't you?

19th - Exeter ReFreshers

To celebrate the start of term, we ran a stall at Refreshers in The Sanctuary. It was so great to speak to everyone about what makes our society amazing, and we hope you all got to learn more about how you can make a change with us!

20th - Plant Pot Painting with BodySoc

We ran a super successful Plant Pot Painting social with the wonderful BodySoc team. There were some seriously cool pots being decorated and an amazing array of plants to choose from. Thanks again to Bodysoc for co-hosting such a brilliant event, and thank you to everyone who came along!

21st - Sustainable Sundays: A Catch-Up and COP

Our first Sustainable Sundays of the year was a chilled coffee meet at Ari's, discussing the next steps to our campaign! Our fab Treasurer, Isabella, was also able to attend COP28 virtually late last year and has recently posted a summary of her experience. Here's a collection of what she had to say.

28th - Exeter Corn Exchange Kilo Sale

A group of us headed to find some vintage gems at the Kilo Sale in Exeter Corn Exchange. Don't worry if you missed out this time, the event runs multiple times a year and we will be sure to let you know on our Instagram!

We want to hear from YOU! Please give us a message about what you would like to see us do on our Instagram or email link on our Contacts page.

Lastly, if you would like to get or renew your membership for Term 2 for £2, please click here to do so. See you all soon!
