Be The Change, based at Exeter University aims to advocate for sustainability and environmentalism - to students and the wider community.
If this sounds like something you'd like to get involved in, keep reading!
Hello everyone! Emily here, and I am Be The Change's Wellbeing Officer for 2023-2024. I am a third-year English BA student and have been a part of BTC for my entire university experience. Our community is one that is diverse, welcoming and above all, kind.
We all share a passion for environmental justice, and promote the act of sustainable living, especially from a student lens. Considering factors like accessibility and affordability is a vital part of our work, and we hope that the space we continue to curate nurtures our members' well-being.
What Do We Do?
Running regular events, including our hugely successful Sustainable Sundays, as well as charity shop crawls, wellbeing walks and coffee meet ups, Be The Change is a place to relax and discuss all things green! If you study at Exeter University, we would love for you to join us and become a member.
The Role Of Our Blog
In relaunching this blog with a fresh new look, we are hoping that this space can house some fantastic climate resources. To partner with our Sustainable Sundays posts, located on our Instagram, we are launching a new project - Climate Case Studies! Here, we will be creating detailed, well-researched infographics on climate news, projects, explorations and current affairs.
And we need your help! If you have a topic that you are particularly passionate about in the world of environmentalism, we want to hear from you.
Simply head to our 'Contact' page and give us a message on any of our socials, detailing your idea. We will get back to you, and hopefully in no time your work will be published on a dedicated space right here. We can't wait to hear from you.
Love,
Emily and Team Be The Change x
